Every year, after the Abacus National Festival - sounding differently about All India U C MAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition - International competition at KL Malaysia would follow. The 5th All India Abacus Mental Arithmetic Competition had happened on 1st October, 2005, National champions were sponsored for participation in the 6th International Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition at Malaysia, which took place at Kuala Lumpur on the 26th November, 2005. 59 students had participated, out of whom 17 students belonged to the sponsored category.
This grand event was conducted in a great style and Indian students brought laurels for the country:

Earlier the Indian delegation - left from Chennai on the 24th night by Air India. The International Airport got festooned by the presence of the delegation with the accompanying parents. The colorful scene could be caught by the flashing cameras. The placards, banners & bouquets. decorated the departure bay at International Airport to bring festive look. Cameras flashed illuminating the faces reveling joy The whole area became the cynosure for the traveling public. U C MAS - India officials led by its Chairman & Managing Director Basheer Ahamed wished the students. The students jubilant as they were wore the "winning ornament" - often called confidence. Mr. Prabhkar the lead manager from U C MAS India, deserves the appreciation having lead the team to this Intl' event.

Master Akhil , who has completed 6th Level at U C MAS Dindigul Centre has recently participated in 6th Malaysian International Competition at KL, Malayisa. Master Akhil has won 4th Place in the International Competition. He had earlier won the national championship held at Chennai at Chennai Convention Centre CTC Complex, Chennai on 1st October 2005. He had been sponsored by U C MAS India to Malayisa to participate in the Int'l Competition. Master Akhil is very studious and high scorer in school exams. His parents acknowledge with gratitude U C MAS' role in the success of their ward. The parents of Master Akhil took enormous interest in making the trip to Malaysia for which they had to brave inclement / stormy weather, travelling 23 Hrs in bus for reaching chennai from Dindigul. The interest and effort of the parents need mentioning. Master Akhil's successful performance had been highlighted in local dailies too.
