Amodel UCMAS Franchise's Office

After becoming Franchisee by signing the Fr. Agreement – Set up UCMAS  centre:

Class Room for teaching, tables and chairs, White or black Board & Name board are essential tools.  Each class room requires one Display/Teacher’s Abacus. Computer and Phone are optional.

Setting up the office, Promoting for enrolment by educating the parents about the program benefits are the primary requirements. A Course instructor should be selected and training arranged for her/him before the enrollment of the children commences.  Franchisee herself being the first Course instructor would be ideal.  Promotion campaign should be done regularly.  Distributing Program related fliers and hand bills and releasing advertisement locally are the basic essentials.

Areas of focus for promotion should be Residences, schools in the area any event related spots. As long as the Franchisee works for optimum number of students in the area for enrolment, the UCMAS India Corporate office would shield the interests of the Franchisee.  The student numbers less than 100 in 6 months time 150 in 1 year’s time and 200 in 2 years time (it could be definitely more, as the potential is huge)  would be not viable and would not interest the Franchisee since the net earnings will be low.  All telephonic enquiries for student enrolments would be referred to the Franchisee and the parents would be guided to approach the franchisee.

Course Instructor Training fee will be Rs.15,000 and the same would have to be borne by the Course Instructor him/herself in the normal circumstances.  Rs.3000 is the cost of display abacus. Classroom with chairs and tables for students, White/black board, Name Board and others are to be arranged for smooth functioning of the classes by the Franchisee at their own expense.

 a. Franchisee fee – non-refundable, valid for 3 years and is renewable.

 b. Course Instructor fee is Rs.15000/- for the full program training, which will be given in a phased manner.  CI trained and registered with the Franchisee  has to work with Franchisee only and transfer/resignation would be discussed and action taken with mutual understanding and agreement.

Area required for the centre - minimum300 sq.ft.

Investment would be around Rs.75000 or if seeking a place for rent it could be up to –. Rs1.0 lac.

Corporate office would take care of Brand promotion Advertisements, Presentations at the   Franchisee center could be arranged by our Corporate office.  Student Enquiries from the area would be diverted to the Franchisee and posters and general handouts, constantly passing on information

regarding the latest research across the world, sponsoring for international trips and gifts based on
competitions would be normally done by the Corporate office.

The furniture is not standardized, but suitable and right kind of furniture need to be procured by the Franchisee.

The program is popular across the world and the results are tangible. For every child, there is a gross earning of Rs.750 for every three months i.e. each semester. Word of mouth / Referrals will bring in the desired number of students once the first few batches do well. Also the students who enroll for the first batch would continue for the other semesters. If each center carries 20 batches of 15 students per batch, then the strength will be 300 students and about Rs.75000/- will be the monthly returns.  This will probably take six months / one year  to establish. The training requirement can be taken care by 4 course instructors with 75 students per course instructor.

No of students per batch 12-15, with two batches every week day between 4 - 6 p.m and 6 - 8 p.m and five batches each on Saturday and Sunday would be ideal.  The students should be instructed to do about 15 minutes practice every day at home. There is no pass mark or fail mark in the exam and all children are expected to reach a certain level of proficiency before they can continue in the next class. Seeking the cooperation and support of the parents is very critical. The franchisee will require to keep the center open from 3-8 p.m and during the week end, the whole day from 9 a.m-9 p.m. if they plan to run a full fledged center. But the timings and the days depend on the children in the neighborhood.

Cost of Course Material is Rs.900 for the whole program.  Student will be given Abacus, Bag, T Shirt, Report Card on enrollment. For every semester, beginning at level 1 and going up to level 8, each semester would at Rs.1350 only.

Payments are made as one time or installment preferably as cheque favoring  U C MAS (India) Pvt. Ltd., or as cash from which the franchisee pays to the Corporate office Rs.300 per child. Where the franchisee is the Course instructor, the franchisee makes Rs.1050 per child and in the other cases Rs .750/- per child. Payments and details to the Corporate office to be transferred and material could be picked up for the next level for each child.

Course instructors are paid Rs.300 per child per level of 3 months each

Franchisee and students payment-one time.
